|Dear members, presenters, and registrants,
Through a process of consultation and exploration with the Conference Planning Committee and AAGT Board, the date for the next AAGT biennial conference in Ireland has been decided.
It is scheduled for May 17-22, 2022.
We arrived at this date having considered a number of important factors:
To hold our conference at a time where we can expect to be unencumbered by the risks connected with the Covid-19 pandemic
A commitment by the Board to host an affordable conference on the island of Ireland
Limited and unsuitable availability of dates at the venue for 2021, with many international training events and conferences already rescheduled to next year
Travel and insurance restrictions may still be in place in 2021
We share the disappointment many of you might feel that it will be 2 years before the conference, but after much consideration, believe this is the best choice.
We would like to share the positive news that the conference will be held in the same venue in Ireland. The Falls hotel has committed to offer us the same rate, even though May is high season in Ireland. The hotel has agreed to refund the booking deposits and payments already made to them. If you have booked a room at the hotel, we ask that you take the following steps:
Send a cancellation request to email@example.com (If the guest has a reservation number of the booking, full name and the dates)
If deposit has been paid more than 180 days ago, then the hotel will need the guest’s credit card details to refund your pre-paid deposit. Due the Covid-19 pandemic hotel the Reservation Team is working remotely. You are welcome to contact them directly on an Irish mobile +353 (0) 877737074 (9am -5pm Irish time)
This process may take some time.
You will receive a full refund of your conference fee if you have registered and paid, and of the administrative fee, if you had already cancelled your booking. The refund will be made automatically; you do not have to apply for it. It will take up to 10 days to reach your account. You may find that the sum refunded is not exactly what you paid. This will be the result of exchange rate fluctuations.
We will be sending you updates once planning commences in early 2021. And as always, we welcome your comments and contributions.
With good wishes to each of you for your continued health and well-being,
